Supporting Global Wildlife Research, Management & Conservation

To protect and enhance ecosystems around the world, wildlife professionals rely on the collection of accurate data. The real-time collection of these data via remote devices is becoming increasingly important in a rapidly changing world where loss of biodiversity is occurring at an unprecedented rate. The use of digital tools will help those working in this field, whether scientists or land managers, to meet this global challenge.

1NCE has empowered us to deliver a higher level of service to our customers by providing more reliable IoT software and connectivity across a broader range of networks worldwide. Their intuitive portal features have also made it easier for us to manage devices and offer faster, more effective support

Jodie Case, Product Development and Support Manager , PERDIX

Background

PERDIX Digital Ltd has developed a range of innovative digital solutions specifically for wildlife professionals. Through its industry-leading PERDIXPro platform and Apps—featuring remote trap-monitoring tags, trail cameras, and GPS tracking devices—PERDIXPro allows users to collect data with ease.  The system is now used around the world to help study, manage and protect various wildlife species in real-time.

Challenge

Wildlife biologists often find themselves working in remote areas with poor or inconsistent network coverage. In addition, the data being collected is often time sensitive. Therefore, PERDIX needed to provide customers with reliable data transmission across their range of IoT devices, while at the same time ensuring they could provide fast and effective support.

1NCE Solution

As PERDIX works with wildlife managers who are often working outside, in remote areas, and relying on their devices to inform real-time management decisions, 1NCE helps to provide increased connectivity for their customers to enable their digital tools to be more reliable. With 1NCE, PERDIX provides their customers with access to IoT software and connectivity across multiple networks in over 173 countries, while receiving quality support via the 1NCE Portal.  At the same time, PERDIX has achieved savings in data costs as well as increased efficiencies in data usage and management.
