Inovasens

Live events with the power of scent and technology

Inovasens focuses on sensory marketing, which implies integration of multiple sensory stimuli such as scent, sound, and light into environments. The industry faces significant technical challenges in ensuring the precise synchronization of various devices, particularly during large-scale events where timing and coordination are critical.

Thanks to 1NCE's connectivity, I can connect my devices worldwide and enhance the quality of services provided to my high-end customers

Yves Cotarmaanc’h, CEO , Inovasens

Background

Inovasens, a company based in France, specializes in the deployment of multisensory systems for events. They manage and operate a wide range of sensory devices, including scent diffusers and smoke vortex cannons, which are used to create synchronized sensory environments. Their operations extend globally, requiring reliable IoT connectivity solutions to manage these devices across different locations.

Challenge

In July 2024, Inovasens encountered a complex technical challenge while preparing for a Synesthesia concert. The event synchronization of 1500 scent diffusers and 12 smoke vortex cannons with a live music performance. The primary difficulty lay in ensuring that all devices, deployed across various locations, could be controlled and synchronized in real-time without latency or failure.

1NCE Solution

Inovasens addressed this challenge by utilizing 1NCE’s IoT platform. The solution provided a stable and reliable connection for all sensory devices, enabling them to be remotely managed and synchronized with the music during the event. General connectivity failures decreased by 13%. In addition, the company reduced their costs by 17% and increased the useful lifetime up to 9%.
